WOMEN RUN ROCKLAND FUND

The Women Run Rockland Scholarship Fund was created to encourage young women to enter politics and/or public service in order to further gender equity in elected office and a more representative government. A scholarship will be awarded to a Nyack High School senior pursuing a degree in a two- or four-year college who has demonstrated a strong interest, level of achievement, and/or involvement in political science, civics or government.

THE JOSEPH MICHAEL VALENTINO MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship was created to honor the memory and legacy of Joseph Michael Valentino who passed unexpectedly in February 2020 by awarding two $500 scholarships in his name annually to two like-minded individual student-athletes who embody a devotion to character and athletic drive (One Male/Female) at Clarkstown South High School.

THE GUARNIERI FAMILY T1 DIABETES OPPORTUNITY SCHOLARSHIP

The Guarnieri Family T1D Opportunity Scholarship was created to provide financial assistance to Rockland County high school seniors who have Type 1 Diabetes and who are planning to further their education in an accredited higher education program. Each year the Guarnieri Family will recognize at least one brave student who demonstrates exceptional character by awarding that student a $1,000 scholarship.

THE HARRIET D. CORNELL ROCKLAND 21C SCHOLARSHIP

The Harriet D. Cornell Rockland 21C Scholarship will provide a grant in the amount of $1,000 to a Rockland County female High School senior who is planning to attend a four-year college, who has shown strong leadership qualities, and participated in activities that reflect a diversity of interests and community service.

WELLES REMY CROWTHER RED BANDANNA MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

The Welles Remy Crowther Red Bandanna Memorial Scholarship is a tribute to the courage and heroism of 24- year-old Welles Remy Crowther (The Man in The Red Bandanna) who rescued many on 9/11 before he ultimately perished. The scholarship is awarded to a deserving high school graduate choosing to pursue a career in fire and emergency services or health related services.
