The Suffern High School Class of 1979 Will Shine Forever Memorial Scholarship was established immediately after the 40th High School Reunion to honor those alumni who have passed over the years.
Marisa Rose Verbraak was a graduate of the class of 2018 and passed away in 2019. . This $1,000 scholarship honors her memory. She was a member of the English Honors Society throughout high school and was an avid reader, writer and old soul, whom had been an English major during her time at college. This scholarship is awarded each year to a senior who demonstrates the same values that she did during her time at Suffern High School and is a member in good standing of the English Honor Society.
