Primary/Secondary Fund Holder Changes

Fundholders may find it necessary to change advisors to their fund.  All changes must be made in writing (for community groups please use your organization’s letterhead) and mailed to Rockland Community Foundation at P.O. Box 323, New City, NY 10956.  You may also email your written request to admin@rocklandgives.org.

Growing your Fund

You or other donors may add to your fund at any time.  The Rockland Community Foundation accepts donations via check, wire transfer or online donations. All gifts will receive acknowledgement letters, if they have disclosed their name and address.  We encourage you to share a link from the dedicated donation page on this website to encourage your friends, family and associates to contribute to your fund. You may also contact us for dedicated HTML or shareable link code that you can include in web pages and emails.

Please note that we also can accept the following towards your fund:

  • Stock transfers
  • Gifts of stock and other securities
  • End of the Year Giving appeals

(Note that for a fund to receive tax credits for a calendar year, donations must arrive and be processed by RCF no later than December 31. Please keep holidays in mind when planning your gift.)

Estate Planning

Your fund is a great way to continue supporting charitable causes, beyond your lifetime. A fund can be included in a will or designated for memorial gifts in your honor. Your fund may also be listed as the beneficiary of a retirement fund and can also be transferred to an endowed fund upon your death so that designated charities will continue to receive gifts in your name in perpetuity.
